Why I do what I do

I became passionate about breastfeeding education and the postpartum experience when my son was born in 2020. My son and I struggled with poor weight gain, weak latch and nipple confusion. We used a supplemental nursing system (SNS), I triple fed him, we used nipple shields and successfully weaned from them. These issues, among other complications at birth coupled with the pandemic threatened our breastfeeding journey. My husband and I were alone in our home due to the height of the pandemic. I don’t want women to feel as alone as I felt while trying to navigate our feeding struggles.

I received a lot of advice but it wasn’t from my hospital. It was from women who are passionate about seeing each other achieve successful breastfeeding and seeing babies thrive no matter what that looks like for each family. I am now one of these women. As a Certified Lactation Counselor, whether it is through exclusively nursing, combo feeding, exclusively pumping or coming to the conclusion that formula is truly the right decision for your family, I am proud to meet you where you are at and help you figure it out, together. As a Postpartum Doula, I am honored to be in your postpartum bubble to support your needs and comfort. I truly love this work that I do.

All of the support I offer is either in the comfort of your own home or virtual.
